Kate is an experienced dispute resolution lawyer. She is trusted by clients as a solicitor dedicated to resolving disputes for clients in a swift and efficient manner. She is a reliable solicitor with soundness of sensibility and judgment. Kate handles a wide range of matters, predominantly commercial disputes, partnership and company disputes, shareholders disputes, companies winding-up and contractual disputes, both at local scale and internationally. She is regularly assisting clients involved in cross border disputes, with recent experience assisting her client to prevail before the Privy Council in an appeal from the Court of Appeal British Virgin Islands ([2021] UKPC 24).
She is a contributing author of Arbitration in Hong Kong: A Practical Guide (5th Ed, Jan 2022) (Sweet & Maxwell). She also co-authored, along with about 30 seasoned arbitrators, an instructional book on commercial arbitration award writing Danubia Files 2: Lessons from the Vis Moot (Mar 2024) (Jus Mundi). Her appointment includes sitting as a Deputy District Judge in the District Court of the Hong Kong SAR (2018, 2019), and as a Temporary Deputy Registrar of the High Court of the Hong Kong SAR (2019).
